Anne Hathaway, the American actress, arrived at the Albies in an already prominent dress — the same dress that Claudia Schiffer wore when she just returned to the runway during the Versace spring 2024 show in Milan!
The Devil Wears Prada star on Thursday attended the Clooney Foundation For Justice’s The Albies in a strappy full floor-length gown.
The slinky form-fitting design features a green and metallic checkerboard print with mint green lace emphasizing her neckline and midsection.
Hathaway smiled for pictures in minimalist makeup and put together her eye-catching glance with silver jewelry. She also wore silver closed-toe heels with a bow on the front — which Schiffer wore as well while on the runway.
Schiffer debuted the look at Milan Fashion Week.
Last week, Schiffer and Vogue shared in a collaborative Instagram post, “Today during #MilanFashionWeek, @donatella_versace debuted her spring 2024 collection to a star-studded audience. One of the most special guests? Legendary supermodel @claudiaschiffer, who closed the show wearing a dazzling green gown.”
It was the first time for Schiffer striding down the catwalk since she joined Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen in metallic gold dresses to shut the fashion powerhouse’s spring 2018 show.
Hathaway sported the dress for a remarkable occasion as well on Thursday. George and Amal Clooney’s Clooney Foundation for Justice established the Albies the previous year as a “tribute to those whose courageous devotion to human rights deserves admiration and support.”
Anne Hathaway is also the facade of Versace’s Icons collection and just co-hosted the inaugural dinner for the brand alongside Versace in New York City.
In a press release revealing the partnership in April, Hathaway clarified Versace designs for the campaign as “timeless elegance with an edge.”
The motivation behind Icons was to make fashion that is “outside the trend cycle” and suggested to be “worn again and again throughout your life,” as Hathaway shared on Instagram at the time.
