BLACKPINK has bagged another achievement in their career with their debut studio album, The Album, released on October 2, 2020.

The all-girl group, consisting of Jennie Kim, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo, marked an impressive milestone in their career by earning a BRIT Gold Certification for the album in the UK, making history as the first K-pop girl group to achieve this honor.

The Album was BLACKPINK’s first full-length project since its debut in 2016 and features hit tracks such as How You Like That.

The album also includes collaborations with American singer Selena Gomez on the track Ice Cream and Cardi B on Bet You Wanna.

The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) recently announced that The Album has reached the prestigious gold certification, which requires selling 100,000 units in the UK.

Since their debut with the single album Square One, featuring chart-topping tracks like Boombayah and Whistle, BLACKPINK has consistently conquered top spots in the music charts.

Following Square One, the group released Square Two, continuing their streak of dropping hits with Playing with Fire.

Their 2018 release, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du, solidified their status as a global phenomenon.
