BLACKPINK, the iconic all-girl group, is slated to celebrate its eighth anniversary by taking the BORN PINK world tour to silver screens.

Billboard reported on Friday, June 21, that BLACKPINK consisting of Jennie Kim, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo announced on Thursday, June 20, that they are bringing their successful BORN PINK world tour to the big screen to mark eight years of their debut.

The special concert film, titled BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS, is set to premiere on July 31 for limited screenings.

The upcoming movie will feature the K-pop quartet’s world tour, which kicked off in October 2022 and ended in September 2022, following their second album, BORN PINK.

The film, premiering in more than 110 countries, is said to include the group’s performances from Gocheok Dome in Seoul and clips from other locations throughout the tour.

Additionally, they took their world concert to 22 countries and performed a total of 66 concerts across the stopovers.

Their sold-out concert hailed as “the highest-grossing tour from an Asian act and a female group in history,” garnered an audience of 1.8 million.

The widely acclaimed South Korean girl band earned the tenth spot on Billboard’s 2023 Year-End Top 40 Tours chart worldwide.
