As the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 prepares to hit theaters, Chris Pratt, who plays the lead role of Star-Lord/Peter Quill, has opened up about how the cast plans to stay in touch after filming.
In an interview with PEOPLE at a special screening of the movie, Pratt revealed that the cast has grown incredibly close throughout the filming process, and they plan to keep in touch through text messages.
“I know the text threads will keep going and stay strong. We’ll be checking in on each other, like marriages and families and all the living things that happen,” the 43-year-old actor said. “We’ll be there for each other.”
Pratt also shared that the cast recently celebrated Pom Klementieff’s birthday, showing how tight-knit the group has become.
Reflecting on his relationship with director James Gunn, Pratt added, “James is one of my dearest friends, and that’s the type of relationship that I will continue to foster.”
It was previously revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be the final movie in the franchise, making it an emotional and bittersweet experience for the cast and fans alike.
