Actress Courteney Cox, best known for her role as Monica Geller in the hit TV series Friends, recently opened up about her past experience with sun damage and shared her skin care tips in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
The 58-year-old actress revealed that she used to spend too much time sunbathing in her 20s, which caused significant damage to her skin. Reflecting on her experience, Cox urged her 18-year-old daughter, Coco, to limit her sun exposure and take care of her skin.
Cox advised her daughter to use sunscreen and avoid lying in the sun to prevent further damage. She also recommended using the right products and caring for the body, not just the face.
“I always say to my daughter, ‘Coco, your skin is incredible. Let me show you my chest’,” Cox shared. “Then she’s like, ‘Mom, I would never have that kind of skin’. I’m like, ‘Yeah. Your face you always look at, but you forget your body. Wear sunscreen and care about your body. Really use the right products because it catches up.”
Cox also shared her favorite skin care products, including Dynamic Skin Recovery Sunscreen, which she uses to keep her skin protected while playing tennis and spending time outside. She also recommended Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream, which she uses at night for its hydrating properties.
“It’s very hydrating and works really well,” Cox explained. “I use it all over my body because I’m lucky enough to be able to do that.”
In addition to her skincare tips, Cox also discussed her upcoming project, a Friends reunion special set to air on HBO Max. The highly anticipated special will bring the cast back together for the first time since the show ended in 2004.
Overall, Cox’s interview serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting the skin from sun damage and using the right products for healthy, glowing skin.
