In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, actress and influencer Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about her past romances with celebrity ex-boyfriends Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
When asked which one she had more chemistry with, Paltrow revealed that Pitt was the “major chemistry, love of your life, kind of, at the time,” while Affleck was “technically excellent.” She joked, “I can’t believe my daughter’s listening to this.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Pitt, Paltrow admitted that it was “major love at first sight” and “crazy.” However, she also revealed that they broke up because she had a lot of personal development to do. “Looking back in hindsight…I didn’t really fully start to come into myself until I was 40 years old,” she said. “And I had such a people-pleasing issue. I didn’t really even understand how to listen to my instincts and act from that place.”
Despite their split, Paltrow still holds Pitt in high regard. “He’s a great guy. He’s wonderful, I really like him a lot,” she said.
Paltrow and Pitt dated for three years before calling it quits in 1997. She went on to date Affleck from 1997 to 2000.
This isn’t the first time that Paltrow has shared intimate details about her past relationships. In her 2021 book “The Goop Lab,” she revealed that she and Pitt once got into a heated argument during a trip to Morocco.
As an actress, Paltrow has starred in a number of popular films, including “Shakespeare in Love,” “Iron Man,” and “The Royal Tenenbaums.” She has also gained attention in recent years for her lifestyle brand Goop, which offers wellness and beauty products, as well as wellness advice and guidance.
