The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 21-month-old daughter has been christened in a small and intimate ceremony at the couple’s California home.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spokesperson said, “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.”
According to the reports, Harry and Meghan invited King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales to the event but they did not attend.
Lilibet Diana was born to Prince Harry and Meghan in June 2021. She is the second child of Harry and Meghan and Her name “Lilibet” is a nod to Queen Elizabeth II, as it was her childhood nickname. The name “Diana” is a tribute to Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
Earlier this week, it emerged that Harry and Meghan were weighing up whether or not to travel to the UK for the King and Queen Consort’s coronation.
