Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their homes burglarized within 48 hours last month, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The first incident occurred on Oct. 6 when Mahomes’ expansive eight-acre estate in Belton, Missouri, was broken into around midnight.
Police responded to the property shortly after midnight but reported no signs of forced entry.
Less than two days later, on Oct. 7, Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas, home was also broken into during the Chiefs’ game against the New Orleans Saints.
The burglary resulted in $20,000 stolen and damage to a rear door, according to police reports.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, moved into their “dream home” in 2023, featuring a 50-yard football field with Mahomes’ logo, a pool, and a golf hole. Kelce, who purchased his home in Leawood just over a year ago, has yet to publicly address the burglary.
Despite these incidents, the Chiefs went on to secure their next five victories, remaining undefeated this season. The team will now face the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 17, rekindling last year’s playoff rivalry.
