Ke Huy Quan, who recently gained widespread popularity for his role in the hit film Everything Everywhere All at Once, has addressed rumors about his potential cameo appearance in the upcoming movie Indiana Jones 5.
In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight at the TIME 100 Gala, Quan spoke about the speculations surrounding his possible cameo in Dial of Destiny, the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones saga, alongside the franchise’s reigning star, Harrison Ford.
Quan, who previously appeared in 1984’s Temple of Doom with Ford, explained that while he would like to say yes to a cameo, he does not want to disappoint fans. He added that reuniting with Ford after 38 years was a very special moment for him.
“I want to say [yes], but no,” Quan said in response to the question about his possible cameo appearance in the film. “Here’s the thing. I don’t want to disappoint the fans. I’ve joked about it all the time, but reuniting with Harrison after 38 years, that was very special,” he added.
Quan and Ford recently had a reunion moment at the 93rd Academy Awards when the latter presented Quan and his Everything Everywhere All at Once castmates with the Best Picture award. The two actors first appeared together in Temple of Doom, which is a sequel to Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark.
In addition to the Indiana Jones 5 cameo rumors, Quan was also named one of TIME’s “100 Most Influential People of 2023.” His Loki co-star, Tom Hiddleston, paid tribute to the actor in the iconic magazine.
“That was really special because I had the best of time shooting Loki season 2 with him,” Quan said of Hiddleston’s tribute. “He’s a kind human being, he’s a great actor, I’ve learned so much from him. He inspires me. So, for him to write that tribute, that was very, very special.”
While Quan did not confirm his appearance in Indiana Jones 5, fans will surely be excited to see him reunite with Ford on the big screen once again.
