Liam Payne reportedly acquired drugs by an employee of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, prior to his death, according to sources. Police have retrieved substances such as clonazepam and another drug referred to as ‘crystal meth.’

According to sources, evidence suggests a hotel staff member may have bought the drugs, that were discovered in the singer’s room.

Buenos Aires police have reported that the member of the former band One Direction was under the influence of crystal; a dangerous substance which results in severe psychotic reactions and hallucinations, reports Marca.

Moreover, Argentina’s prosecutor’s office is probing the case and will file drug distribution charges against hotel staff.

Earlier, the emergency services revealed that the manager called in to inform about a ‘drugged’ guest at the hotel.

“We have a guest who’s off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.”

“We need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk”, the manager informed.

Liam Payne’s body is reportedly still in Argentina for autopsy.
