Lisa Loring, who is famously known by the character “Wednesday Addams”, has died at 64. Besides Lisa Loring’s many characters, she was famous for her well-known character “Wednesday Addams”. She played her role as Wednesday Addams in the first TV adaptation of The Addams Family in 1960.

Vanessa Foumberg, daughter of Lisa reported to The Hollywood that her mother died of a stroke that is caused by high blood pressure. Moreover, she said, “her mother went peacefully with holding both of her daughters’ hands”.

Lisa’s friend Laurie Jacobson posted on her Facebook timeline about this heartfelt death she wrote,

Meanwhile, she describes Lisa’s death, “Lisa suffered a massive stroke that was caused by smoking and high blood pressure. She was on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and then she passed last night.”

Her famous character “Wednesday Addams” was the first adaptation of Charles Addams’ New York cartoons that ran on ABC from 1964 to 1966. She also appeared in the sitcom “The Pruitts of Southampton” and the soap opera “As the World Turns”.

Lisa Loring was born in the Marshall Islands. Her birth name was Lisa Ann DeCines but at age 3 she used her stage name when she started modeling. Her role as Wednesday Addams inspired a later version of Wednesday Addams’s character.

After Lisa’s version, we have seen many versions of Wednesday Addams but Jenna Ortega is a recent and successful actress who played this role. Jenna played the Wednesday Addams role in Netflix’s latest horror and comedy hit series “Wednesday”. The series draws more than a million views and become the most-watched show of all time.

In Jimmy Fallon on Tonight show, Ortega told Jimmy that in her show “Wednesday” she paid a tribute to Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday Addams. I just did a little bit of her shuffle what she does.

After Lisa’s death, Ortega shared a black and white photo of Lisa playing the role as a child on her Instagram account.

Absolutely devastated. Thank you for everything.”
