While Prince Harry attended his father’s coronation in the UK, his wife Meghan Markle reportedly celebrated their son Archie’s fourth birthday with a low-key party at their California home.
According to sources close to the couple cited by the Daily Mail, Archie enjoyed a private celebration at their $15 million mansion in Montecito, while his cousins, including Prince George, took center stage at the coronation.
Meghan reportedly baked a lemon cake for the party, using fruits from their own garden. Meanwhile, Prince Harry flew back to Los Angeles, arriving at LAX at around 3:30 am UK time, to celebrate part of Archie’s special day with his family.
The sources also confirmed that Prince Harry had been determined to return home in time to spend part of Archie’s birthday with him. Despite the long journey, he made it in time to be with his family on this important occasion.
This is not the first time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have celebrated their son’s birthday in a low-key way. Last year, they reportedly had a small gathering at their home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite being physically apart during this important event, it seems that Meghan and Harry have found a way to make their son feel special and loved on his fourth birthday.
