Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archewell’s Archetypes, has won a top Entertainment Podcast Host award from the Gracie Awards. The awards program recognizes exemplary programming made by women, for women, and about women in all areas of media and entertainment. The award recognizes exceptional original content that entertains and informs in a highly engaging and authentic way.
The Duchess of Sussex launched her podcast in the summer of 2020 with the aim of rectifying narratives and exposing the origins of common stereotypes against women. Since then, she has released 12 episodes, with her most recent episode airing in November of 2020.
Some of her high-profile guests include tennis star Serena Williams, pop icon Mariah Carey, heiress and DJ Paris Hilton, and comedian Mindy Kaling. Throughout the season, Meghan addressed several topics such as living with pain, dealing with violent criticism, and fighting for what is right.
Meghan’s podcast has gained a large following worldwide, reaching the top spot on charts in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. Archetypes has also topped charts in 47 other countries, according to Archewell.
