The situation escalated further when former President Donald Trump publicly thanked Mahomes on his platform, Truth Social, for “defending him” and praised her for wanting to “save the United States from doom.”
Trump added, “What a great couple,” referring to Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, and concluded, “See you both at the Super Bowl!”.
The Trump controversy has left Swift’s fans, or “Swifties,” particularly unsettled, given Swift’s well-known political stance.
Swift has previously endorsed Democratic candidates like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, leading many of her fans to question the friendship between her and Mahomes.
