Taylor Swift carried home the coveted, fan-voted award for Artist of the Year at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday in Los Angeles.

The Grammy-winning superstar, 34, voiced her appreciation in a recorded message which played during the award ceremony.

Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and *NSYNC’s Lance Bass introduced the award winner after which the pre-recorded message was played for the audience.

“Hey! I wanted to say thank you so much to anyone who voted for this award,” Swift said in the video.

“iHeart, you’ve also just been so incredibly supportive over the course of my entire career, but especially this year has been pretty spectacular. I am so grateful for that.”

In her speech, Taylor Swift, who is set to release her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, teased that there are “so many exciting things ahead of us.”

The singer also shared that she was humbled by the fan support for the “incredible honour” and to have her music be included in so many lives.

“It is completely up to you to choose how you spend your time,” she addressed the fans.

“What concerts you want to go to, what music you want to make the soundtrack of your life. And to anyone who has included me in those choices, I am so, so, so thankful for that.”

The Tortured Poets Department comes out on April 19.
