Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have now won four games after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers as Taylor Swift was cheering in the stands.
First, as Taylor Swift looked on from a suite the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears. She then fetched a gaggle of celebrity mates to watch the Chiefs beat the New York Jets on the latter’s home turf. After a week off, Swift again appeared in Kansas City to watch as Travis Kelce and his team beat the Broncos during Thursday Night Football.
This time, she excitedly exhilarated and watched as the Chiefs bested the Los Angeles Chargers 31-17.
The Chiefs quickly took a lead with a field goal, but the match was tight throughout — they traded off-field goals and touchdowns up til halftime and went into the locker rooms with Kansas City up 24-17. The Chiefs obtained those last seven points thanks to the pair of Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who connected with the tight end before Kelce drove the ball through a line of defensemen and over the goal line for a touchdown.
Swift excitedly cheered for the touchdown alongside Mahomes’ wife Brittany with a unique handshake and a chest bump.
The second half of the match was all defense, with no scoring until the final 3:30 minutes of the game when the Chiefs ran in a touchdown, setting them up 31-17. And that would be the final after the Chiefs blocked a Chargers throw to end the game.
Swift’s arrival in Missouri on Sunday comes after she was photographed on a girls’ night out in Los Angeles with friend Selena Gomez and others on Thursday.
The weekend prior, Swift and Kelce were spotted in New York City on multiple occasions, including making separate cameos on Saturday Night Live.
On Wednesday’s episode of Kelce’s New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment) podcast, he talked a bit about the SNL gig, calling it “electric to be back in that place. There is just something about being in that room. And being their first episode this season, I had such a freaking blast man.”
While Swift and Kelce ramp up their relationship, he has the full backing of the Chiefs — particularly team coach Andy Reid. Reid was asked about his star tight end’s romance with Swift during an appearance on Outkick’s The Five Spot earlier this week.
