Travis Kelce’s dad Ed Kelce has granted his approval to his son over his new romance with popstar Taylor Swift after their recent meetup.
Speaking with People Magazine, Ed poured over the Anti-Hero hitmaker for being a “down-to-earth young woman” who picked up trash in the game suite despite having global popularity.
He shared his first impression of Taylor when he met her in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos.
Ed said he initially found Taylor to be “very genuine” before their meeting and was proven right when finally got to meet her at his son’s game.
He went on to praise Taylor, saying she is “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman,” before adding, “I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her.”
“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around,” he shared.
Ed continued, “Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can. And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t get the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot.”
“She’s very smart. I mean, very,” he said before concluding, “That comes through right away.”
