Will Smith set to make a big move for PR as he is ready to address Jada Pinkett’s split

Will Smith is finally ready to talk about the infamous Slapsgate incident at the 2022 Oscars in hopes that he can finally move on from it and make his “big comeback,” per a new report by The Sun.

Ahead of the release of his new film, Bad Boys 4, out in June, the 55-year-old actor and his team are planning a big PR push to help him overcome the multiple controversies he’s been involved in, especially after he slapped Oscars host Chris Rock for making a joke at the expense of his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

An insider told the outlet, “This film is Will’s big comeback and his team are going all out to get him out there.”

The source further revealed that not only will he “deal head on” with the slap that plummeted his career, but he will also address his marriage to Jada after she revealed in her 2023 memoir, Worthy, that the Hollywood power couple have secretly been separated since 2016.

The source further noted that “the slap is still a bit of an elephant in the room and Will is going to tackle it head on. He is booked to appear on a number of big US TV shows.”

They continued, “People love a redemption story and Will Smith has done a lot of work on himself. He also has a huge fan base who want him back in the thick of the action.”
