Three years after the world mourned the loss of Chadwick Boseman, the late actor continues to be celebrated and remembered by his loved ones. On Wednesday, marking what would have been his 47th birthday, friends and family gathered to pay homage to the iconic star who left an indelible mark on the world of cinema.

Chadwick Boseman, who succumbed to colon cancer in August 2020 at the age of 43, was honored in touching tributes shared by those closest to him. His widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the time she spent with her late husband. Accompanying her heartfelt words were two sweet throwback images, and she captioned the post, “when i talk to God, i thank him for the time. happy birthday, angel đź’ś.”

In a touching show of camaraderie, Letitia Wright, Chadwick’s onscreen sister, shared a poignant quote about ‘purpose’ from the late actor in her Instagram Stories. Alongside dove emojis, the tribute emphasized the profound connection they shared. Wright also posted a heartfelt photo of Boseman with the caption, “Happy heavenly birthday bro. love you.”

Lupita Nyong’o, another co-star from the groundbreaking film “Black Panther,” joined the chorus of tributes on Instagram. Reflecting on Boseman’s birthday, she wrote, “Marking the birthday of a heroic friend. I am blessed that his time on this earth coincided with mine.”

Chadwick Boseman’s battle with cancer, which he kept private even from his colleagues, left an enduring impact on those who worked closely with him. Lupita Nyong’o, in an Instagram post weeks after his passing, described the aftermath of his death as “a punch to my gut every morning.”

Despite facing health challenges, Boseman made his final acting appearances in the 2020 films “Da 5 Bloods” and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” As friends, family, and fans continue to honor his legacy, Chadwick Boseman’s impact on both the film industry and the lives of those who knew him remains a cherished and enduring presence.
