In a riveting cinematic endeavor, the upcoming independent film “Cold Deck” promises heart-pounding action and suspense, led by the talents of Stephen Dorff and Alec Baldwin, as reported by Deadline. The film, produced by Corey Large and directed by Brian Skiba, had its production wrapped up before the commencement of the SAG-AFTRA strike on July 14.
Crafted by Joe Perruccio and Eric Bromberg, the film’s plot centers around a group of loggers who stumble upon a clandestine meth production site deep within a forest. Their lives take an intense turn as they find themselves ensnared in a battle for survival, relentlessly pursued by a formidable drug cartel.
Funding for “Cold Deck” was secured through 30 Enterprises and Chinese investor Pink308, boasting a substantial $50 million film fund with ambitious plans to produce eight to ten films annually. Esteemed executive producers include Ram Getz, Michael Mortensen, Stephanie Rennie, and Kirk Shaw.
Joining Dorff and Baldwin in the cast are notable figures such as Lochlyn Munro (known for his role in Riverdale), Lucy Martin (recognized for her work in Vikings), Tom Welling (famous for portraying Clark Kent on Smallville), Jesse Metcalfe (a key figure in the Fortress franchise), and Clive Standen (notable for his appearances in Everest and Vikings).
Alec Baldwin, recently exonerated of involvement in the April Rust shooting incident, continues to make his mark in the industry. He recently concluded filming a Western in Montana, a project dedicated to honoring the late director Halyna Hutchins. Meanwhile, Stephen Dorff has been part of the Corey Large production “Paradise City,” which also featured Bruce Willis and John Travolta.
The cast members are represented by renowned agencies, with Dorff’s interests looked after by Atlas Artists and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox. Standen’s representation includes Independent Talent Group, MGMT Entertainment, and Ziffren Brittenham.
