Former “That ’70s Show” star, Danny Masterson, 47, has made headlines once again, this time with the release of his first mugshot following his conviction for two counts of rape. The actor, sentenced to 30 years to life in prison, appeared expressionless in the photo, donning an orange jumpsuit with a disheveled beard and unkempt hair. The Los Angeles County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation unveiled the mugshot after Masterson’s transfer to North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.
Masterson’s famous friends, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, had written letters in support of him during his trial, hoping to reduce his sentence. However, their backing resulted in significant public backlash, leading to Kutcher’s resignation from an anti-sex trafficking organization.
The actor’s conviction came after a retrial in May, following a hung jury in November 2022. Subsequent to his sentencing, his wife of 12 years, Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce. Throughout the trial, Phillips had stood by Masterson, referring to him as her “life-saving partner.” The couple shares a 9-year-old daughter named Fianna, and Phillips has sought legal and physical custody, a request to which Masterson has agreed.
