David Corenswet is living out two life-changing roles at once—on-screen as Superman, and off-screen as a first-time father. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor opened up about the challenges and joys of juggling fatherhood while filming one of the most iconic superhero roles in Hollywood.
Corenswet, who has been married to Julia Warner for over two years, praised his wife for her unwavering support during the intense filming schedule.

“My wife gets all the credit,” he said, acknowledging that with 12-hour shoot days, most of the parenting responsibilities fell on her.
Co-star Nicholas Hoult chimed in with a playful comment, saying, “She was wearing those boots. Making you look good,” referencing Superman’s signature red footwear.
Corenswet shared how the experience of becoming a parent helped keep him grounded while playing the Man of Steel.
“It’s good Superman energy, you know? To spend all day flying through the sky and fighting bad guys and then come home and get thrown up on… change diapers,” he joked.
Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane in the film, added with a smile, “To keep him humble, you know.”
In a previous conversation with People magazine, Corenswet revealed that he and Julia discovered they were expecting a child just days after he learned he’d be testing for James Gunn’s Superman reboot.
“It was intense keeping both pieces of news a secret,” he said, reflecting on that life-changing moment.
With the new Superman movie now showing in theaters, fans are praising Corenswet not just for his powerful on-screen presence, but also for his heartfelt journey as a new dad. His ability to balance blockbuster filming with fatherhood has only made audiences appreciate the actor behind the cape even more.
