Rumors of a rift between Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins have been circulating after the season finale of The White Lotus season 3, where they portrayed the on-screen couple Chelsea and Rick.
Following the airing of the final episode, fans quickly took to social media to point out an unusual detail: the two co-stars posted about the show but failed to tag each other in their posts. This led to speculation that tensions may have arisen between them behind the scenes.
Eagle-eyed fans dug deeper and noticed something even more peculiar—Wood’s previous comments on Goggins’ Instagram seemed to have disappeared, while his comments remained visible on her page. This fueled further speculation that Goggins may have blocked Wood on the platform.

The drama intensified when Goggins posted a heartfelt tribute to Wood on his account, thanking her for being his “partner” in their shared journey of filming the show. However, despite the public praise, many noted that Goggins still wasn’t following Wood on social media. In the caption, Goggins wrote, “Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget,” alongside a series of behind-the-scenes photos.
Despite these rumors, both actors have remained publicly supportive of one another in interviews. Wood, who is best known for her role in Sex Education, spoke candidly about how she felt when Goggins skipped the viewing party for the finale.
“I was sad that Walton wasn’t there because it was something that we did together, but also it’s so f–king Rick and Chelsea,” Wood shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “Like, of course Walton had to watch it alone, and of course I had to watch it in the group because there is so much Aimee in Chelsea and so much Walton in Rick,” she added.
While the social media drama continues to capture the attention of fans, it seems that the true nature of the relationship between Wood and Goggins is still up for debate. The duo’s chemistry on-screen in The White Lotus has captivated viewers, but it remains unclear if their off-screen dynamic is as smooth as their on-screen performances.
