Dua Lipa turned up the heat with the release of the highly anticipated Physical remix featuring Troye Sivan. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of her second album Future Nostalgia, the Levitating singer officially dropped the new version of the track after a fan leaked it on X (formerly Twitter) at her request.
The remix, released on Friday, March 29, features a fresh verse from Australian musician and YouTube sensation Troye Sivan. His part includes the lyrics:
“We’re verging on the edge of spiritual / You’re deeper than you thought, it’s a miracle / Don’t you agree? / Can you even believe? / Baby, I can love you all night / If you ask me to—, I might / Babe, get a taste of the moment / Stay up ’til the early morning, yeah / My final fantasy.”
Before the song’s official debut on YouTube, Lipa, rumored to be engaged to Masters of the Air star Callum Turner, took to Instagram to mark the milestone anniversary of Future Nostalgia.
“5 YEARS OF FUTURE NOSTALGIA ~ doesn’t even feel real!!!! Thank you for the memories that I have to last me a lifetime ~ keeping me dancing all around the world,” she wrote alongside a carousel of pictures and videos from performances and behind-the-scenes moments.
Expressing her excitement for the milestone, the One Kiss singer added, “To celebrate this massive milestone in my life, I’m sharing a version of Physical that @troyesivan and I worked on together years ago, and it always felt like it needed an occasion. This feels like the perfect time.”
