In an exciting preview for her upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live, Emma Stone showcases her anticipation for a return to the iconic sketch comedy show.
Scheduled for this Saturday, Stone will serve as both the host and musical guest alongside Noah Kahan. With four prior hosting stints on the NBC series, Stone’s last appearance was in April 2019 during season 44, featuring a performance by the popular group BTS. This return will officially induct her into the esteemed Five-Timers Club.
The teaser, released on Wednesday, captures Stone’s playful and dramatic entrance onto the Studio 8H stage. With a twinkle in her eye, she addresses the empty space, humorously pondering, “What’s the secret to comedy?”
Adding to the excitement, Stone’s latest film, “Poor Things,” is slated for release next month. Reuniting with director Yorgos Lanthimos, who previously worked with Stone on the 2018 hit “The Favourite,” the movie stars Stone alongside Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael. “Poor Things” positions Stone as a strong contender for another shot at an Oscar.
In other SNL updates, the show, which commenced its 49th season last month, revealed that Adam Driver will host the December 9 episode with musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. Additionally, former cast member Kate McKinnon is set to host the December 16 episode with performances by Billie Eilish.
The most recent episode of the current season, featuring Jason Momoa as host and music by Tate McRae, aired on November 18. As anticipation builds, Emma Stone’s return to SNL promises to be a highlight, combining her comedic prowess with musical flair.
