Gigi Hadid has opened up after being named in the Jeffrey Epstein files, revealing that the news made her “sick to my stomach.” The 30-year-old model, along with her younger sister Bella Hadid, appeared in a December 2015 email exchange involving Epstein and an unidentified individual, which was later released by the Department of Justice.
Gigi addressed the situation on Instagram in response to a fan comment, calling Epstein a “disgusting human being” and clarifying her position. She emphasized that she had not initially spoken out to avoid detracting from real victims’ stories but wanted to set the record straight.
The supermodel stressed that she has never had any affiliation with Epstein and detailed her hard work in building her modeling career. She explained that despite growing up privileged, her parents protected her and taught her the value of hard work, which helped her and Bella succeed in the fashion industry.
Gigi noted that she signed with IMG Models in 2012 and has worked diligently since. She pointed out that she was around 20–21 years old when Epstein wrote the emails and reiterated her lack of any connection to him.
In the December 2015 email exchange, a redacted individual asked Epstein about the Hadid sisters’ success in modeling and earnings. Epstein dismissed the claim, writing, “No… Because they follow directions, it’s that simple.”
Gigi’s statement highlights her shock at being mentioned in the files and her commitment to clarifying her career and personal history.
