Jake E. Lee, the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, recently revealed the heartfelt last message he received from the “Prince of Darkness” before his tragic death, stirring emotions across the music community.

The 68-year-old musician took to Facebook to share the touching text Ozzy sent following his farewell performance. The message read:
“Hi Jake, I’m so sorry I couldn’t spend more time with you on the weekend but it was really chaotic. I would really like to see you when I eventually get back to LA just to shoot the shit. It’s been so long since we saw each other. Where are you living these days? The last thing I heard was you were living in Las Vegas. How did the gig go for you on Saturday? I really hope you had fun. Anyway, I will text you when I get back to LA and we must hook up. Much love and respect, Ozzy.”
Jake E. Lee captioned the post, saying,
“Still processing it. The finality of it hits me in waves. This was a text I got from him as I was sitting in an airport headed back home two weeks ago.”
Lee’s history with Osbourne dates back to 1982 when he joined the Prince of Darkness’ band. He contributed to several iconic albums including Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin, cementing his legacy alongside the heavy metal legend.
The emotional post came just days after the official announcement of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing on Tuesday, July 22. The 76-year-old rock icon died peacefully with his wife, Sharon Osbourne, by his side.
Fans and fellow musicians continue to mourn the loss of the “Crazy Train” singer, remembering him as a trailblazer whose music and influence shaped generations.
