Jana Levy Teases Possible Return to the Evil Dead Franchise

Jana Levy has recently shared her thoughts on the possibility of returning to the Evil Dead franchise, sparking excitement among fans of the horror series. The actress, who starred as Mia Allen in the 2013 reboot of the original film, expressed openness to reprising her role in a potential new installment of the iconic franchise.

In the 2013 reboot, directed by Fede Álvarez, Levy portrayed Mia, a young woman recovering from heroin addiction who becomes haunted by the evil forces of Naturom Demonto. The reboot, which was a fresh take on Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult classic, gained a strong following, and Levy’s performance in the lead role was widely praised.

While promoting her latest film Atropia at the Sundance Film Festival, Levy was asked about the chances of returning to Evil Dead for another movie. The 35-year-old actress revealed that she would jump at the chance to be a part of another Evil Dead project if the filmmakers reached out to her. “I would love to do it if they approached me right now,” Levy said. “I’m just not sure if they’re going to do it or not.”

Despite her uncertainty, Levy expressed hope that the franchise could continue with another sequel, given the loyal fanbase that still exists for the series. “I kind of feel like they must, right? The fans are there,” she said. “So, I think I would say not like you can count on it, but I think more likely than not.”

Although Levy’s character, Mia, hasn’t appeared in any Evil Dead films since the 2013 reboot, her role remains an integral part of the series’ legacy. The film, which also starred Bruce Campbell, Shiloh Fernandez, and Jessica Lucas, introduced a new generation of horror fans to the world of Evil Dead, and Levy’s performance continues to be a memorable part of the franchise’s history.

Fans of Evil Dead are undoubtedly eager to see whether the franchise will return with a new chapter and whether Levy’s character Mia will make a comeback. While nothing has been confirmed yet, Levy’s openness to returning has fans holding out hope for another terrifying installment in the Evil Dead saga.
