The highly anticipated DC film Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow has officially kicked off production, with Milly Alock taking on the lead role as Supergirl. This action-packed movie is set to explore the origin story of the superhero before her journey to Earth. Fans can expect a fresh take on the iconic character, as Alock brings her own interpretation to the role.

Joining Alock is Jason Momoa, known for his portrayal of Aquaman, who will play the villainous Lobo. Momoa’s casting as Lobo promises to bring added excitement to the film, as the character is known for his chaotic and destructive tendencies, making him a formidable foe for Supergirl.

Filming is currently taking place at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, with the production crew working tirelessly to bring this new chapter of the DC Universe to life. The movie, set to be released in 2026, is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, with Ana Nogeira adapting the script. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie, whose previous work has shown his ability to handle large-scale action films.

Fans can expect a visually stunning and action-packed experience when the film is released on June 26, 2026.

In addition to Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow, Warner Bros. has other exciting DC projects in the pipeline. One of the most anticipated films is Superman: Legacy, directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as the titular superhero. Set to release on July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy also features Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan, Isabela Merced, and Nathan Fillion in pivotal roles. With these upcoming films, DC fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
