Netflix’s hit series Wednesday is set to return with a thrilling second season, and lead star Jenna Ortega has teased some exciting developments that will leave fans eagerly anticipating what’s next for Wednesday Addams.
A Darker and More Intense Season
Ortega, who rose to fame with her portrayal of the gothic teen, recently opened up about how Season 2 will differ from the first.
In a recent interview, the 22-year-old actress shared, “What really impressed me about this season is, I think, you really see Wednesday in a place where it doesn’t seem like she can win. Which… how could that ever be the possibility? I remember it was really strange to play, and I was trying to find the most authentic way to portray that.”

Her statement hints at a more challenging journey for her character, adding depth to the already mysterious and suspenseful storyline.
What to Expect in Wednesday Season 2
While speaking with Extra, Ortega dropped some key hints about the upcoming season, revealing that major characters will undergo significant transformations.

“Enid wolfs out now. Tyler is back. There’s a psych ward, as there should be. It’ll be good,” she teased, giving fans plenty to speculate about.
The Miles Millar and Alfred Gough-created series, which blends horror, mystery, and comedy, became a global phenomenon after its debut, with Ortega’s performance earning critical acclaim.

The show’s star-studded cast will also return, featuring Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, and Gwendoline Christie.
As for the release date, fans will have to wait a bit longer, as Wednesday Season 2 is expected to premiere later in 2025.
