Jennifer Aniston may be ready to return to one of her most outrageous and beloved roles. The Friends alum revealed that she would be open to reprising Dr. Julia Harris, the bold and seductive dentist from the hit Horrible Bosses films.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Aniston expressed her affection for the raunchy comedy series, calling it one of the projects she’d be most excited to revisit.
Dr. Julia Harris Might Be Making a Comeback
When asked which of her past roles she’d like to return to, the 55-year-old actress didn’t hesitate:
“Horrible Bosses. Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too,” she said. “That’s something we think would be super fun.”
Aniston played Dr. Julia Harris in both Horrible Bosses (2011) and its 2014 sequel—a highly inappropriate, foul-mouthed dentist with a twisted sense of humor. The character was widely praised for allowing Aniston to stretch her comedic chops and play against type.
“The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy,” she continued. “I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time going back to—seeing where those crazy cats are today.”
A Comedy Classic Fans Still Love
Horrible Bosses, which starred Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis, became a fan-favorite comedy about three disgruntled workers who plot to eliminate their terrible employers. Aniston’s role as one of the over-the-top bosses became iconic and showed a different side of the actress known for her more wholesome, girl-next-door characters.

With her co-stars also reportedly on board, a Horrible Bosses revival may be more than just wishful thinking.
Broadway Dreams Still on the Horizon
Beyond movies and television, Aniston also has her eyes set on a Broadway debut. Though her schedule remains packed, she revealed that taking the stage in New York is still a dream on her bucket list.
“I definitely want to do a Broadway play,” she said. “That’s on my bucket list, but it’s about finding the time and the right material. But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway.”
What’s Next for Jennifer Aniston?
From her Emmy-winning role as Rachel Green in Friends to her dramatic performance in The Morning Show, Aniston has proved her versatility time and again. But her return to the unapologetic and unfiltered Dr. Julia Harris could bring back the kind of bold comedy audiences have been missing.
With Aniston, Bateman, and Day all showing interest, a Horrible Bosses 3 may just be the comedy comeback the world needs.
