Jennifer Aniston is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her adorable viral moment with longtime friend Courteney Cox, sharing the story behind the salon-style blowout video that captured hearts online.
While speaking to PEOPLE about her LolaVie haircare brand partnership, the 56-year-old actress revealed how the collaboration with Cox, 61, came together naturally during a weekend at Cox’s house.
How the Viral Video Happened
“I just said please. Well, I just begged her,” Aniston joked about convincing Cox to let her do her hair. “I said, ‘First of all, you have all these products in your bathroom and you don’t use them, and you’re just so lazy when it comes to your hair.’”
The resulting video, posted on LolaVie’s social media accounts on September 5, shows Aniston giving Cox a blowout using the brand’s haircare products. “This is the greatest day of my life. I get to finally blow-dry Courteney’s hair,” Aniston says as Cox beams in the chair.
Aniston starts by spraying Cox’s hair with LolaVie’s Glossing Detangler, noting that while Cox has gorgeous hair, it tends to frizz. Cox humorously responds, “I don’t brush my hair, so the fact that you can get that comb through it like that is really a miracle.”
Next, Aniston uses LolaVie’s Peptide Pumping Spray to add volume and finishes with the Lightweight Hair Oil, leaving Cox’s hair styled perfectly for the camera.
A Fun and Nostalgic Collaboration
Aniston explained that working with her friend made the process even more enjoyable. “She’s so much better at doing [social media] than I am, so it made it more fun for me. It just felt like we were having more fun together than me sitting in my bathroom making a video.”

The video caption read, “the one where @jenniferaniston does @courteneycoxofficial’s hair for our 4th birthday (and just in time for our birthday sale where everything is 20% off at LolaVie.com).”
Expanding LolaVie’s Line
Aniston launched LolaVie in 2021 and recently introduced the 12th product in her growing line — the Powder Perfect Dry Shampoo. Speaking to PEOPLE in August, she described it as “a little Swiss Army knife” designed to do more than just mask oil, adding lift at the roots.
A Friendship That Shines On and Off Camera
The styling session not only showcased the duo’s iconic friendship but also highlighted their effortless chemistry, offering fans a nostalgic glimpse of the Friends stars working their magic together once again.
