Jennifer Garner is fully embracing the holiday season, sharing her family’s heartwarming traditions and preparations for Christmas. In an interview with People, the beloved actress revealed how her three children — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck — play a central role in their festive celebrations.
Each child brings their own unique touch to the holiday menu. “I have one kid who specializes in mashed potatoes — that’s their specialty,” Garner said. “Another is all about making an apple pie, and then I have one who, goodness only knows what she’ll decide to make.”
A cherished tradition in the Garner household is her homemade 10-grain bread, a recipe from The Bread Bible. Garner reflected on its significance, saying, “I love this recipe. I don’t know how it became such a staple in our Thanksgiving menu, but everyone expects me to make it now.”
The Christmas spirit has already taken hold in their home, with her son leading the charge. “The other night, I came home from work to find my son blasting Christmas music throughout the house,” she recounted. “He was wearing an apron and making ginger snaps. That’s the energy I want to see brought to our house right now.”
As a thoughtful and intentional gift-giver, Garner shared her approach to finding meaningful presents. “I’ve been giving these gifts throughout the year, whether for birthdays or just because,” she said. “If I found one of these under the tree as a mom, I’d be thrilled to bits. They’re total winners.”
Garner’s love for family and her focus on creating joyful, memorable traditions highlight the warmth and excitement of the holiday season in her home. Through cooking, music, and meaningful moments, she continues to inspire the true spirit of Christmas.
