Jennifer Lawrence is overjoyed after welcoming her second child with her husband, Cooke Maroney. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that both Jennifer and Cooke are happy and doing well after the birth of their new baby.

The couple, who tied the knot in October 2019, are already parents to their three-year-old son, Cy. Jennifer first announced her pregnancy in October 2024, sharing the joyful news in a Vogue Instagram post and article. She expressed her excitement about expecting another child with Cooke.

A source close to the actress shared that Jennifer was “thrilled to be pregnant again” and that the timing feels perfect. “Her son will turn three when the new baby arrives,” the insider added. “She loves being a mom, and this second pregnancy is a dream come true.”

Since becoming a mother, Jennifer has made changes to her career approach. In a 2023 conversation with Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, the Don’t Look Up actress revealed that she had become “more selective with the projects she agrees to do” after becoming a parent.

“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” Jennifer shared. “There’s just home, and it’s the best. It definitely helps weed out projects.”

As she embraces motherhood and her growing family, Jennifer continues to find a balance between her personal life and career, with her new baby marking an exciting new chapter for the actress and her family.
