At the Elle’s Women in Hollywood event 2023, Jennifer Lopez shared heartfelt sentiments about her recent film collaboration with husband Ben Affleck. The 54-year-old singer opened up about the unique dynamics of their partnership while discussing the documentary film, “This Is Me… Now: The Film,” which Affleck helped co-write.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Lopez expressed her appreciation for Affleck’s deep understanding of her story, stating, “We collaborate very well together, and nobody knows my story more than he does.” The documentary offers an intimate look at the making of Lopez’s forthcoming album and delves into the real-life love story shared between the power couple.

The Grammy-winning artist acknowledged Affleck’s pivotal role in the creative process, emphasizing the depth they were able to achieve. “We were able to kind of sit down and really dig into it, in a way that I don’t think any other writer could’ve done with me,” she remarked.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Lopez disclosed that she hasn’t felt this passionate about a venture in years. She credited Affleck for creating an environment where she “feels safe and supported.”

“This project was something I didn’t really plan. When the music was done, I just thought to myself, ‘There’s more of a story to be told here. There’s been a bigger journey than just a love story here.’ And so it became a much bigger, fuller project, with an incredible message,” she shared.

In a touching revelation, J.Lo disclosed that she infused the narrative of her and Ben’s romantic journey to add a “more personal” touch to the film. The collaborative effort between the iconic duo promises an authentic and intimate portrayal of their journey, making it a project close to Jennifer Lopez’s heart.

As fans eagerly await the release of “This Is Me… Now: The Film,” the documentary stands as a testament to the strength and creativity of a partnership that transcends the realms of music and cinema.
