Justin Baldoni is pushing back against the lawsuit surrounding It Ends With Us, revealing new details about an intimate scene from the highly anticipated 2024 film.
The Jane the Virgin star, who appears alongside Blake Lively in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, addressed the controversy in legal documents, shedding light on behind-the-scenes tensions.
According to the lawsuit, Baldoni stated that an intimacy coordinator was hired for the film, but Lively initially declined to meet with her before filming began. A message exchange included in the lawsuit revealed that Baldoni informed Lively about the coordinator, writing, “Just hired intimacy coordinator who I LOVE. Will set you up to meet/FT with her next week for intro.”

Lively reportedly responded, “I feel good. I can meet her when we start. 🙂 Thank you though!”
Baldoni also expressed concerns to a female producer about how the delay in scheduling the meeting could affect production, stating, “Just wanted to tell you about this – seems she doesn’t want to meet intimacy coordinator until we start which may mess up the workflow, but I can still meet with her of course.”

As Lively was unable to arrange an earlier meeting with the intimacy coordinator, Baldoni was present throughout the filming process to help guide her through the scenes.
The lawsuit serves as Baldoni’s attempt to counter claims made by Lively, who previously alleged that she was made to perform uncomfortable scenes during production.
The legal battle surrounding It Ends With Us continues to unfold, with both stars presenting their sides of the story.
