Kate Hudson is officially embracing the festive season, and she’s sharing the joy with her daughter, Rani. The actress and singer, who has always cherished the holidays, recently began celebrating by taking her 6-year-old daughter to pick out their Christmas tree.
On Sunday, December 1, Hudson posted a reel on Instagram that captured the heartwarming family outing, where she, Rani, and Rani’s father—Hudson’s fiancé, Danny Fujikawa—shopped for a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations. The video also featured the family browsing through decorative wooden reindeer and snowmen, creating a picture-perfect holiday atmosphere.
The reel, set to the timeless holiday classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” sung by Hudson herself, conveyed the spirit of the season. Hudson captioned the post with snowman and snowflake emojis, writing, “And so it begins!!! My favourite time of year.”
Dressed warmly for the chilly weather, Hudson sported a navy blue trench coat, a furry hat, and chunky boots. Fujikawa kept cozy in a leather jacket and furry hat, while Rani was dressed in a multicolored, leopard-print fleece and jeans. The family’s coordinated outfits added to the charm of the holiday outing.
Hudson and Fujikawa began dating in December 2016, and after two years together, they welcomed their daughter, Rani, in October 2018. The couple got engaged in September 2021, although they have not yet tied the knot.
With this joyful start to the holiday season, it’s clear that Hudson is ready to celebrate with her loved ones.
