Kim Kardashian returned to Paris this week to face the men accused of robbing her at gunpoint in one of the most notorious celebrity heists in modern history. The high-stakes courtroom showdown began Tuesday, May 13, nearly nine years after the traumatic 2016 incident that made global headlines.
The 43-year-old reality TV star, entrepreneur, and beauty mogul arrived at the Paris courthouse dressed in a black skirt suit and dark sunglasses, accompanied by her mother, Kris Jenner, and a full security team. Kardashian greeted the judge with a quiet “Hello” and thanked the court “for allowing me to tell my truth.”

During her emotional testimony, Kardashian detailed the terrifying night of October 3, 2016, when masked men dressed as police officers broke into her luxury residence in Paris. “I had fallen asleep naked with a robe on,” she said, recalling the moment she saw the hotel concierge handcuffed and forced into her room by the armed intruders.
The suspects, now on trial, allegedly stole nearly $9 million in jewelry, including Kardashian’s $4 million engagement ring given to her by then-husband Kanye West. French authorities have described the crime as one of the highest-profile celebrity robberies in recent history.
Kardashian’s longtime friend and stylist, Simone Harouche, also testified, recounting the moment she feared Kim had been “raped or violated” upon hearing her screams. She later found the star “beside herself,” with her robe undone and her feet bound.
Harouche defended Kardashian’s right to wear and share her jewelry without being blamed for the attack. “Just because a woman wears jewelry doesn’t make her a target,” she said. “That’s like saying a woman in a short skirt is asking to be raped.”
One of the defendants, Yunice Abbas, issued a video apology, seeking forgiveness from Kardashian. When asked for her reaction, Harouche simply said, “No.”
The trial is ongoing and expected to conclude by the end of the week, with the possibility of life imprisonment for those convicted.
