Kim and Khloe Kardashian are opening up about emotional dreams involving their late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., while seemingly hinting at unresolved tension with his widow, Ellen Pierson.
In the April 10 episode of The Kardashians, the famous sisters reflected on their dreams of their dad, who died in 2003 after battling esophageal cancer. Kim, 44, told Khloe, 40, about a vivid dream where their father was alive, living in Los Angeles — but notably, with Ellen, whom he had married shortly before his passing.

According to Kim, in the dream, their father was avoiding them. Khloe didn’t hide her reaction, replying with a blunt “Ew,” suggesting lingering discomfort regarding Ellen.
Khloe then shared that she, too, frequently dreams of their dad, calling them a regular occurrence. The conversation turned lighter in a confessional segment when Kim asked Khloe to recall a dream she had shared during a road trip. When Khloe mentioned Ellen, a producer mistakenly assumed she meant Ellen DeGeneres.
Kim quickly corrected the confusion with a laugh: “No, his wife,” before cheekily adding, “That would’ve been the dream,” a line that subtly underscored deeper family drama.
Tension between the Kardashians and Ellen Pierson isn’t new. In 2013, Ellen filed a defamation lawsuit against the family, alleging that they and producer Ryan Seacrest tried to involve her in questionable reality TV plotlines. At the time, she also accused Kris Jenner of being “manipulative and devious,” claiming she used and exploited her children for fame.
While the Kardashian sisters rarely discuss Ellen publicly, their recent remarks suggest that past wounds remain sensitive — even decades after their father’s death.
