Kylie Jenner Unveils Her Fashion Line ‘Khy’ and Reinforces Her Role as a Style Icon

Kylie Jenner, the dynamic 26-year-old entrepreneur and reality TV star, is set to make her mark in the fashion world with her latest clothing line, “Khy.” The fashion venture, known for its distinct spelling of her nickname, is making waves for its unique designs and affordability. Her foray into the fashion industry has earned her the title of “Brand Innovator of the Year” by WSJ. Magazine.

The unveiling of “Khy” in WSJ. Magazine’s November issue is a testament to Kylie’s love for fashion and her incredible influence on the style landscape. The collection is inspired by her personal wardrobe and the ever-changing moods that define her style. It’s no ordinary fashion line; Kylie views it as a reflection of her true self, aptly named “King Kylie.”

What sets “Khy” apart is its collaborative approach, involving not only Kylie but also Kris Jenner, the famed “momager” and manager of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and industry experts Emma and Jens Grede. The Grede duo has made their mark with brands like Skims by Kim Kardashian and Good American by Khloé Kardashian. “Khy” stands out by keeping the core essence of “King Kylie” while offering budget-friendly fashion. Its inaugural collection predominantly showcases faux-leather pieces in collaboration with Namilia’s Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl, all priced under $200.

For her WSJ. Magazine cover shoot, Kylie personally modeled several items from “Khy,” providing a glimpse into the brand’s versatility. The collection spans from a delicate red-and-blue lace slip dress to a striking floor-length faux-leather trench coat, showcasing a range that mirrors Kylie’s style evolution. Discussing her role in the creative process, Kylie said, “Creatively I have such a strong vision of what I want to look like and what I want to do and what I want to wear. There’s really no one telling me what to do.”

Kris Jenner, her mother and Khy’s co-founder, emphasized Kylie’s lifelong love for fashion. Kris fondly remembered how even as a young child, Kylie would orchestrate one-woman fashion shows in her bedroom, dressed in “boa feathers and somebody else’s high heels.”

Kylie’s fashion journey includes her unforgettable appearance at the 2023 Met Gala, where she wore a breathtaking Jean Paul Gaultier gown. In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, Haider Ackermann, the designer of the gown, shared insights into collaborating with Kylie. He recognized their differing aesthetics but highlighted their ability to find common ground that celebrated their friendship and mutual trust in their choices. Ackermann also praised Kylie’s unwavering vision and her deep understanding of her body and fashion preferences.

With the launch of “Khy,” Kylie Jenner cements her status as a style icon, with her passion for fashion taking center stage. The innovative fashion line reflects her long-standing fascination with the world of beauty and fashion. Her latest venture has not only excited her fans but has also earned her the “Brand Innovator of the Year” award from WSJ. Magazine. She will receive this prestigious honor at WSJ. Magazine’s 13th annual Innovator Awards, alongside other cultural luminaries, on November 1, 2023.
