Liam Payne has been commemorated with a touching tribute nearly three months after his passing. Clevedon Pier has unveiled a plaque in his memory, placed at a location that holds special significance for the late One Direction star. The spot is where the band filmed their iconic You and I music video, a memorable moment for all five original members: Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne.
The tribute was shared on Clevedon Pier’s official X account, accompanied by a nostalgic throwback photo capturing the band’s time at the pier during the shoot.
The plaque reads, “Remembering Liam Payne – One Direction,” and includes poignant lyrics from their song Walking in the Wind: “If you’re lost just look for me, you’ll find me in the region of the summer stars.”
In their post, Clevedon Pier expressed their pride in dedicating the plaque to Liam: “We are pleased to share that there is now a plaque in memory of Liam Payne on Clevedon Pier. The beautiful plaque is inscribed with lyrics from one of Liam’s favourite songs. One Direction recorded their award-winning video You & I on Clevedon Pier.”
The Teardrops singer tragically passed away at the age of 31 in October 2024 after a fatal fall from a hotel’s third floor in Buenos Aires. His memory continues to be cherished by fans and those who remember his time with One Direction.
