Lindsay Lohan recently shared surprising insights about her bond with the Mean Girls cast, revealing that her offscreen relationships weren’t as close as fans might expect.
The Freaky Friday star, who rose to fame with her breakout role in the 2004 teen classic Mean Girls, spoke candidly to The New York Times about her experience filming the iconic movie. While she cherishes her connection with the Freaky Friday co-stars—who are closer to her in age—Lohan admitted that finding her place on the Mean Girls set was sometimes challenging.

Referring to younger co-stars Julia Butters and Sophia Hammons, Lindsay said, “You’re lucky because you’re close in age. I was in school. Amanda and Lacey were all hanging out. It was hard for me to find where I fit in.”
For context, Butters and Hammons didn’t know each other before working on Freakier Friday, but their small age gap helped them quickly develop a close friendship during filming.
Freakier Friday, directed by Nisha Ganatra, is set for theatrical release on August 8, 2025, as announced by Disney.
