Meghan Markle is diving into the new year with a packed agenda, launching her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, a Netflix cooking series titled With Love, Meghan, and her lifestyle brand As Ever.
Despite the momentum, royal commentators suggest the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex is still struggling to solidify a clear target audience.

During The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker shared that both the podcast and the TV series have received “pretty scathing” reviews.
Walker added, “Even though the podcast hit number 10 on Spotify and her Netflix show was also in the top 10, the question remains—are people tuning in because they genuinely enjoy it, or are they watching just to criticize it?”
The eight-episode podcast, created in collaboration with Lemonada Media, documents Meghan’s journey as an entrepreneur.
Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson pointed out that the content leans heavily toward an American audience. “It’s very US-focused. Most of her guests so far are based in the States,” he noted. Walker echoed the sentiment, questioning whether the UK public “love to hate Meghan” while “the US just doesn’t care anymore.”
For those unfamiliar, Meghan relocated to California in 2020 with her husband Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, following the couple’s dramatic departure from royal duties in the UK.
