Amidst her diverse roles throughout her career, Megan Fox holds a special affinity for her portrayal of Jennifer Check in the 2009 film “Jennifer’s Body.”
In a recent interview, the 37-year-old actress revealed that she sees the demonic character of Jennifer Check as a “good representation” of herself. In this mystery thriller, Jennifer, initially a high-school cheerleader, undergoes demonic possession, preying on unsuspecting guys.
Speaking with WWD, Fox expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I feel like that’s such a good representation of who I am in general.” She delved into the character’s complexity, noting, “And before she was turned into a demon and she became this Goth icon, [Jennifer] was this poppy, typical cheerleader, Forever 21 girl… She was that typical girl who then there was this other side to her where she became the sort of demon sorceress. And I am both of those things, and I always have been.”
The “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” actress also shared a personal anecdote from her teenage years, revealing her collection of clothes from Hot Topic and “slutty clothes from Forever 21.” This personal connection deepened Fox’s appreciation for the role in “Jennifer’s Body.”
As Megan Fox reflects on her past roles, it’s clear that the character of Jennifer Check holds a special place in her heart, representing the multifaceted aspects of her own personality.
