Meghan Markle is feeling emotional as her and Prince Harry’s son, Prince Archie, hits a major milestone — his sixth birthday.
On the June 3 episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, the Duchess of Sussex shared a rare and touching reflection on motherhood, revealing how quickly time has flown since Archie was born.
Meghan Recalls Archie’s Public Debut
“Archie turns six tomorrow,” Meghan said during a conversation with guest Tina Knowles. “Where did the time go? I remember carrying him out there, and I was just like — he is now six years old.”

The moment she referenced was the couple’s memorable photo call in May 2019 at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Hall. Instead of the traditional hospital photo-op used by other royal family members, Meghan and Harry chose a more private introduction for their newborn son, presenting him to the world two days after his birth.
Celebrating Archie’s Birthday in California
Though Prince Archie’s actual birthday is May 6, Meghan revealed during the podcast that the family celebrated his big day a bit early. “We had his birthday party yesterday,” she shared. “But you look up, and really, I think everything is in constant fluid motion.”

Since leaving royal duties in 2020 and moving to California, Meghan and Harry have built a quieter life with Archie and his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, who just turned four on June 4.
A Growing Family and Cherished Memories
To mark Lilibet’s birthday, Meghan also released several never-before-seen family photos, including a sweet moment of Prince Harry cradling baby Lilibet. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to give fans brief yet heartfelt glimpses into their life as parents — often choosing meaningful, private moments over public spectacles.
The podcast episode served as another intimate reflection on motherhood, showing just how much Meghan cherishes the early years of raising her children — and how quickly those years are passing.
