Miley Cyrus, the American pop sensation, has recently taken legal action to protect herself from a long-standing stalker who has allegedly been harassing her with incessant letters since 2018. The stalker, identified as 52-year-old Alexander Kardalian, has been the source of great distress for the singer, often making inappropriate demands for money and sending sexually explicit messages expressing his desires for her.
In her effort to gain legal protection, Miley Cyrus has filed for a restraining order against Kardalian. She claims that the individual even went so far as to show up at her Los Angeles residence on two occasions in the year 2022. This escalation of his obsessive behavior eventually led to Kardalian’s arrest in December 2022. He was subsequently incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison for nearly nine months before being released in August 2023.
Miley Cyrus disclosed that she received a letter from Kardalian while he was still in prison, outlining his intentions to visit her home. To her dismay, he acted on this threat just days after his release. Fortunately, her security team intervened and prevented him from gaining access to her property.
The singer also discovered that the alleged stalker had used her address for his health insurance, further raising concerns about her safety, as well as the safety of her mother and boyfriend.
Miley Cyrus successfully secured a temporary restraining order against Kardalian. The court ruling mandates that he must remain at least 100 yards away from her residence, her vehicle, and any other venues where she is scheduled to perform. This legal action aims to ensure her safety and put an end to the years of harassment she has endured from the persistent stalker.
