Jennifer Lopez stars in Netflix’s new action-packed thriller “The Mother,” and the trailer has just been released, sending fans into a frenzy.

After impressing audiences with her action skills in 2002’s “Enough,” Lopez returns to the genre in a film that promises to combine high-octane action with emotional depth. In “The Mother,” Lopez plays an assassin who is forced to come out of hiding to protect her daughter from a group of dangerous assailants.

The trailer features Lopez delivering the powerful line, “I’m a killer, but I’m also a mother, and I will die protecting her.” Director Niki Caro was confident that Lopez was the perfect actress for the role, stating that “Jennifer brings her legendary skill and precision to the action elements, but also brings her strength as a dramatic actor and her experience as a mother right to the heart of the movie.”

Aside from Lopez, “The Mother” boasts an impressive cast that includes Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Gael García Bernal, Paul Raci, Lucy Paez, Jesse Garcia, and Yvonne Senat Jones.

Fans of Lopez and action-packed thrillers alike are eagerly anticipating the release of “The Mother,” which will be available on Netflix starting May 12th.

In recent years, Lopez has been busy with a variety of projects, including her critically acclaimed performance in the film “Hustlers” and her upcoming appearance in the romantic comedy “Marry Me.” With “The Mother,” Lopez continues to prove that she’s a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood, able to seamlessly switch between genres and deliver standout performances.

As the excitement builds for the release of “The Mother,” fans can’t wait to see Lopez in action once again and witness the emotional journey her character will go through in this highly anticipated thriller.
