Universal Pictures has unveiled the first look at “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the latest installment in the blockbuster dinosaur franchise.
The film stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert leading a team tasked with extracting DNA from the last three giant dinosaur species.
The cast also includes Jonathan Bailey, who plays Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist, and Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s partner in the mission. Rupert Friend, known for his role in “Homeland,” portrays Martin Krebs, a representative of the pharmaceutical company financing the expedition.
Additional cast members include Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein, who complete Zora’s team. Their mission takes a dramatic turn when they encounter a civilian family stranded after their boat was capsized by aquatic dinosaurs.
The family, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda, becomes part of the perilous adventure as the group finds themselves on an isolated island. There, they uncover a shocking secret that has been hidden for decades.
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, with Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer serving as executive producers.
The film is slated for a July 2, 2025, release. Universal Pictures shared the official announcement on the franchise’s Twitter account, further heightening anticipation for the film.
