The teen-comedy series “Never Have I Ever” is returning to Netflix for a fourth and final season, and fans can expect a new romance for the show’s protagonist, Devi Vishmakumar. The series follows Devi, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, as she navigates the challenges of high school, including the loss of sensation in her leg following her father’s death and the desire to find a boyfriend.
The official trailer for season 4 has been released, which opens with the aftermath of Devi’s “one free boink” with Ben, played by Jaren Lewison. The upcoming season will see the return of Paxton’s character, as well as the addition of Love, Victor alum Michael Cimino as “smoldering bad boy” Ethan, and comedian Jeff Garlin as Devi’s grandmother’s potential love interest.
As Devi enters her senior year, she sets her sights on getting into Princeton, but her plans may be derailed after catching a glimpse of Ethan. The trailer also teases other exciting events for Devi and her friends, such as senior prom.
The co-creator of the show, Mindy Kaling, explained that the decision to end the series after four seasons felt right for a high school show. Fans of the show will have to say goodbye to Devi and her friends when the fourth and final season of “Never Have I Ever” premieres on June 8th, 2023, exclusively on Netflix.
