Offset is speaking candidly about his split from Cardi B as he prepares to release his forthcoming album, Kiari. The Migos rapper reflected on the end of his marriage and how it inspired his latest music during an exclusive interview with the Associated Press.
Moving On Through Music
The 33-year-old artist, who finalized his second split from Cardi B in July 2024, explained that Kiari represents a journey of moving on peacefully.

“It’s about moving on, like, peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be. It’s all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on—it’s over and done with,” Offset shared.
He emphasized that the album is a personal reflection rather than a public airing of grievances, signaling closure and growth.
Reflecting on Marriage
Offset also spoke about his relationship with Cardi B, mother of his three children.
“It was great while it lasted. That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed,” he said.
The couple first married in 2017 and filed for divorce three years later in 2020. Despite their on-and-off relationship, they remained committed to co-parenting their children: Kulture Kiari, Wave Set, and Blossom.
Album Kiari and New Beginnings
Offset’s new album, Kiari, is expected to highlight themes of healing, personal growth, and moving forward from past relationships. Fans are eager to hear how the rapper channels his personal experiences into his latest music.
With the public closure of his relationship with Cardi B and the release of Kiari, Offset appears ready to start a fresh chapter both personally and professionally.
